Little Kingdom (Ellis)

This photo of baby Easton surveilling his kingdom from his throne is captivating. I wanted to paint this one. When I had it up for critique, one of my fellow artists said, “Oh, you shouldn’t have show his diaper…” Nonsense! That was part of the overall cuteness. Below is the original photo of the moment. You can see that I had to add a tiny bit to the left of the photo.

Below is my proud grandson and his lovely wife holding the photo, Christmas 2022. The frame was all white. I painted the inner portion of it to match the portrait of Easton. I’m including a video of them opening the painting.
