Leaves (Blume)

This is another portrait of Gabi, the daughter of my friend, Jeff. I had painted a portrait of his wife (see “Graduation Memories”) and another of this same daughter (see “Golden Sunshine”). “Golden Sunshine” was meant as a gift for the daughter but he decided that he wanted a portrait of her to keep for himself, so he commissioned this second one. The light changes her complexion significantly from how it looks in “Golden Sunshine” and she dyed her hair between photos, so they look like two different girls. But, no … same one.
