Little Mother (Romanov)

This was painted for a Ukrainian man and his American wife of the two adorable children. I painted it free as an expression of support. Below is the reference photo.

This was more difficult than I expected. One of the challenges was all the varying textures of the children’s clothing. Another was the extreme lighting, which I like but was difficult to capture in paint. I was pleased with the denim jacket but I wish I had been able to paint their baby skin more smoothly.
