Hazel with an Attitude (Shoop)

This sassy imp is the granddaughter of my friend, Ray. He wanted this painted as a gift for his daughter, Hazel’s mother. I love how Hazel conquers a forest scene with her fun-loving and precocious pose. Ray “paid” for this painting by doing some handiwork for us. So, in a way, it was my first commissioned painting. Ray beams as he holds the painting of his first grandchild, which he gave to his daughter. He is, indeed, a proud grandpa…. A year later, he begged me to do another one of Hazel that he and Donna could frame and keep for themselves (see “Sassy” elsewhere on this website).
