Thomas Hatcher was a soldier in the mid-1800s. For years, he was a “missing link” in our genealogy research. We knew next to nothing about him. Then, one day, we cracked the case and information came flowing in like a flash-flood flowing down a desert canyon. Before it all finished, we had a 400+ page book that chronicled his life and times and gave intimate details of his military career as an artillery gunner in the British army. Fascinating stuff!
