Preston Temple (Ellis)

This is a painting of my brother and his wife in front of the Preston Temple during their mission in 2019 and 2020. I painted it in April of 2021 but couldn’t get it to them in Canada because the border was closed due to Covid restrictions. I would have mailed it except that it qualified as International mail and that was over $150 in postage. The border finally opened and our niece took it up as a Christmas present in Dec. of that year. Of this painting, Carol said, “Oh, Godfrey, you really scored with this one!” which was appreciated because I had some concerns about whether she would like it. Below is the ref. photo:
Here is a photo of the two of them opening their portrait. The poor quality is because the camera was trying to adjust for the sunlight coming through the window behind Barry. Carol said she “loved it.”
