Aurum’s Smile (Ellis)

I painted this portrait for my lovely niece, Angie. Aurum is her granddaughter. I’ve never actually seen this child, but we loved the snapshot of this adorable little girl and her smile in this forest setting. The design on her t-shirt took a lot of time. I liked how the semi-abstract forest background came out.

Below is the reference photo, which included two other children, as you can see. Having only a tiny reference photo made it difficult to get a really good likeness.
